The Ladies vs Gentlemen match on Sunday 14th May was a momentous occasion when 17 year old Jordan Tucker became the first Junior Captain to sink a ‘hole in one’ during his captaincy year. On the 2nd hole, Jordan hit a cutty 6 iron into the wind, exactly as he wanted for the 158 yard distance, exclaiming “that could be in!” Approaching the green he assumed Trish’s ball was his, only for Trish to say “it’s gone in”. Jordan said “this is one of the best moments of my life’. Playing with Men’s Captain, Dave Titcombe against Ladies Captain Trish Traynor and past Captain Margaret Brennan in a 4BBB Stableford the Captains led their teams of 9 players. With well contested matches the Gentlemen emerged winners by 177 points to 163, the ladies receiving the wooden spoon. However, the day belonged to Jordan, one he will never forget.
