Your green keeping team have had an extremely busy week cutting grass. They’ve also trialed a greens iron. It’s not really an iron at all and doesn’t even have any heat involved.

A greens iron rolls and levels the under surface of the greens to make them smoother and at the same time increases the speed of the green while not stressing the grass.  The traditional way to increase the speed of the green is to cut the greens to a very low cutting height, however this causes the grass to become stressed and requires a lot of expensive and time consuming maintenance to look after.

Your feedback on the performance and speed of the greens over the last week would be welcomed.
