Such a shame the sun didn’t shine for Trish Traynor’s Lady Captains Day but this didn’t dampen spirits. Clad in waterproofs and rain hats, our ladies had a fabulous day playing a 3 Ball Alliance over 18 holes in the morning and a 9 hole 3 Ball Texas Scramble in the afternoon. Trish, accompanied by her vice captain Maureen Rhymes, had commandeered one of the green-keepers carts, turning it into a mobile bar. With the ladies reaching the 9th tee most accepted an alcoholic beverage if only to warm their insides! The measures being at least triples, there were some adverse affects!!
  • Raffle tickets were sold for an abundance of prizes, a brand new golf bag being the star prize.
  • Lunch was welcomed with pre-ordered sandwiches before the 9 hole Texas Scramble got underway, (the weather being kinder in the afternoon).
  • Dinner followed at 7pm with a fabulous 3-course meal, wine and coffee, leading to the presentation of prizes.
