The warm wet weather has allowed the grass to continue to grow. This means the playing conditions at the moment are more like late April, early May rather than the end of the summer when the grass is normally burnt and dormant.
We’ve had an outbreak of weeds exploding around the course and in the bunkers, so we’ve worked to remove these. With the short bank holiday week we’ve been very busy cutting grass and getting the course back up to it’s best possible condition.
Course maintenance work on Tuesday and Wednesday
Remember we’ll be carrying out the planned course maintenance work this Tuesday and Wednesday 5th and 6th September. The greens will be hollow tined and dressed, so temporary greens will be used on the holes the team are working on. This vital work is needed to make sure the all year round good health of our greens, and to give us the best possible playing conditions over the winter months.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while this work is carried, out and during the recovery period.
