Last Saturday 30th September 3-Club held it’s 43rd consecutive annual event and what a day it was! The amount raised was £1,559.00.
53 members and three guests (who were able to make up the shortfall) played this years. The 2017 dress code was ‘black and white’ and there were a number of interesting outfits. Overall the event was very well supported both on the golf course and for the dinner afterwards.
Of the £1,559.00 raised:
- £900 will go to Oxfordshire Prostate Cancer Support Group
- £250 to Byte Night Action for Children
- £409 will go towards the cost of some 250 yard markers on some of NOGC’s longer par fours.
This year’s winners with 38 points, one of the lowest scores in the history of the competition, was Jon Riley and Kevin Johnson (picture here with Paul Baker).
Well done to you both.
Thank you
The organiser, Paul Baker, would like to pass on his thanks to the green-keeping team, catering and bar team, and members Jason Riley, Brian England and Sue White for their help on the day. Most importantly Paul would like to say a big thanks to the players who dug deep to raise such a fantastic amount of money. Thank you.
