We’re delighted to say that the major drainage work is going well – the 16th green work has been completed and we’re halfway through the work on the 6th green. Once the 6th green is complete we’ll finish the project by working on the 1st green.

While the greens are recovering
The 6th and 16th holes will be played to temporary greens this weekend and until their recovery is complete – we’ll keep you posted. On these holes the main greens should be treated as GUR and not be played off – relief to be taken at the nearest point. Please also try not to walk on the drainage lines when collecting your golf ball from the green – thank you.

Damage to the 11th green
Unfortunately there’s been some vandalism on the course since last weekend. As you can see from the picture below significant damage was caused to the 11th green on Tuesday evening. Your greens team have repaired the damage as much as possible but it will take some time to fully recover.

We’ve contacted the police and are carrying out additional security in the late afternoons and early evenings, and we believe we’ve identified where the course was entered and have blocked off that entrance. Of course we’re still very vulnerable if somebody is determined to cause damage. If you seen anyone on the course who you regard as suspicious please do not approach them yourself, but please do call the office or golf reception and a staff member will deal with the matter. Thank you.
