Seven out of the nine rounds of 2018-19 Winter Challenge have now be played. With rounds eight and nine to be played over the next two weekends (18th/19th and 26th/27th) it’s pretty close throughout the top 16.
Paul Barrow and Mark Wharton have created quite a lead in first place thanks to some great scoring, particularly 48 points in round seven. There’s still plenty of pairs close behind, and a couple of rounds left for a late run from any pair.
Remember each pair enters their best five scores from nine possible rounds and after the ninth round in January the top 16 pairs qualify for the next stage – a matchplay knockout format. Well done to all the pairs who’ve played so far, and here you can see the current top 16 pairs.
