This week we’ve lightly aerated and dressed the greens. This will strengthen the grass roots, reduce compaction and generally make the greens healthier and stronger.

With the warmer temperatures developing grass growth we’ve begun the spring/summer cutting regime, and now, ideally we could do with some rain! Next week we’ll be cutting every area of the course and bringing it up to summer playing standards.

There’s been some concern from members with the quality of the fairways, but we’re confident that the aeration work will really help speed up the recovery. To help further we also plan to feed and treat some of the fairways, and with some moisture and warmth we can expect to see significant improvements on all the fairways in the coming weeks.
